It from Bit Series
Titled after John Wheeler’s famous phrase “It from bit”, this work applies a taxonomical approach to the Transferred Gesso series. Whereas earlier iterations involved a more intuitive process, this version introduces deliberate classification — turning raw, seemingly chaotic material into ordered information, and revealing the interplay between matter and meaning.
Through sorting and categorizing the fragments, entropy becomes meaning — a shift from randomness to structure, echoing Wheeler’s vision that reality arises from information.
