Artist Statement

My work investigates the shifting boundary between reality and representation. Through painting, sculpture, and installation, I explore how perception mediates our experience of the world—how the real and the image continually translate into one another. My practice unfolds as an inquiry into the material and conceptual conditions that shape what is seen, asking where an object ends and its depiction begins.

Underlying this exploration is a sustained interest in the ontology of the artwork itself: its dual nature as both object and image, physical reality and mental construct. By exposing the thresholds where representation collapses back into matter, I reflect on perception as a generative act—one that continuously participates in shaping the reality it observes.
